About the Role:
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Production Cooks to join our team. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals for our school catering program. This is a hands-on role in a busy production kitchen, where attention to detail, food safety, and quality are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, cook, and package meals to agreed standards.
Ensure all food is hygienically prepared, correctly portioned, and presented.
Prepare dietary meals separately to prevent cross-contamination.
Assist with stock control and monthly stocktakes.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
Follow techniques and procedures as demonstrated by the Production Manager.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and delivery drivers.
What We’re Looking For:
Level 3 National Certificate in Hospitality (Professional Cookery)
At least 2 years’ experience in a kitchen environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask
Honest, reliable, and proactive attitude
Fun, enthusiastic, and able to work unsupervised
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 20kg
Flexibility to work varied hours during school term
