About the Role
UCSA is keen to hear from those keen to join our casual staffing pool in casual AV / Sound / Lighting / House Technicians roles. As part of the Production team, you will be provided with the training and knowledge required to ensure our standard are met, and you will contribute to our ongoing goal of supporting students.
Tasks include:
- Pack in and pack down of events
- Technical Equipment Logistics
- Event set up (general labour)
- Basic AV / Sound / Lighting equipment operation based off skillset
- Monitoring venue and set up presentation
- Some general health and safety
About You
You might have done a bit of AV, Sound or Lighting in high school, are starting at UC this year, and looking for a bit of casual work. You may already be well established in the industry and are looking for some additional work on the side. Alternatively, you might be a handy person keen to learn some new skills. We welcome applications from all these backgrounds and have work accordingly!
The main thing we are looking for are positive, enthusiastic individuals who are passionate all things event related!
Due to the nature of the work, ability to work evenings and weekends is a must, as is an affinity for and understanding of a range of clientele that covers students through to corporate clients.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings and/or weekends - noting most shifts will be involve late nights.
- Ability to be flexible and able to get to/from Haere-roa
- Physically fit and able
- A valid NZ work permit
